What I liked
I got to experience many different roles civil engineering has to offer including consulting work, building inspection, design, pay estimates, consulting work, and primarily fulfilled a project engineering role. I was exposed to a variety of projects and this significantly helped me improve my technical and communication skills. The office had a strong sense of community and all of my colleagues were all willing to mentor.
