Middle School Reading and Computer Teacher
Saipan Community School seeks an individual to teach Middle School Reading and Computers to grades 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. Class sizes range from 11- 17 students. Successful candidates will hold a strong belief in teaching the whole child, promoting a Christian atmosphere, and possess the skills to support students’ learning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferably in Education
• Experience with school-aged children and demonstrated ability to establish strong,
trusting and authentic relationships with students
• Demonstrate high moral standards, integrity, and Christian beliefs
• Documentation of clear criminal record
• Complies with workplace policy and procedures
Teacher’s Duties in Daily Operation of the School
• Guide students in appropriate learning activities in subjects included in the
curriculum.
• Be responsible for the safety and welfare of pupils in the classroom, on the school
campus, on field trips, and in any situation in which Employee may have charge of
the students. This responsibility includes but is not limited to, taking students to and
from other classes, recess and lunch, and supervising students at arrival and
dismissal times.
• Maintain an accurate record of each student’s attendance and progress, prepare
periodic progress reports for parents, and keep each student’s cumulative folders up
to date.
• Maintain Grade Books and Lesson Plan Books, and turn them in at the end of the
school year as part of the school’s permanent records.
• Prepare daily and/or weekly lesson plans and materials based on curriculum.
• Follow all school policies and procedures outlined and listed in the Teacher’s
handbook available via email principal@saipancommunityschool.com
• Comply with all health and safety rules, as well as promptly provide police
clearance(s) and evidence of medical examination/vaccinations as requested.
Employee shall also obtain a Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands
Health certificate as required.
Compensation: $951.73 per pay period before deductions, and Medical Insurance at the
cost of $ 50.00 per month to the employee. On Campus Beach side housing is available.
