Project Engineer Intern

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Project Engineer intern who will assist Project Fulfillment Team in performance of daily tasks and responsibilities, is expected to perform duties at high standards, and to assist Project Engineering team members to successfully satisfy customers’ needs and expectations in a timely manner.

 

Duties include:

·        Assist for executing all aspects of project related activity

·        Assist for interacting between Sales, Project Engineering and Accounting

·        Assist for maintaining all project related documentation

·        Assist for maintaining accounting integrity regarding all project activity

·        Assist for decision making process for all project related activity

·        Assist detecting deviations from company or partner policies and procedures are witnessed

·        Will be expected to develop working knowledge of Cooling Towers, Chillers, AHUs, VFDs, HPs, HXs, VAVs, Pumps, VFDs, DOAS & RTUs

·        Will be expected to develop working knowledge of Building Automated Systems, protocols and equipment sequences

·        Will be expected to develop working knowledge for proper selection and modification HVAC equipment using proprietary factory software

·        Will be expected to develop working knowledge over all aspects of the sales process (documentation, business, legal, credit, production and delivery)

·        Will be expected to have attention to details to ensure minimal errors while keeping the customers’ needs met

·        Candidate will be exposed to critical thinking scenarios during the execution of project engineering team tasks.

·        Assist in the coordination of technical issues between the field, the customer and the OEM

·        Will be expected to develop working knowledge and experience with OEM policies, procedures, claims and how to properly resolve conflicts in a SOX environment. 


 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

 

·        Engineering or Construction Management Major Required (at least 60 credits completed)

·        Ability to work at least 20hrs per week (during school) AND/OR Ability to work full-time during the Summer

·        Must be comfortable functioning in a high volume, highly dynamic environment and deliver results

·        Ability to support team of Project Engineers, Service Technicians and Support Staff

·        Knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE standards and generally accepted construction practices is a plus

 

 

Physical Requirements:

 

·        Must be very computer literate using Microsoft Programs, Google Products, FTP, Windows OS, etc.

·        Must have Excel knowledge including macros, complex formulas, data management and pivot tables

·        Must be able to assist with installation, maintenance and support for all manufacturer software companywide

·        Must have knowledge of productivity tools within Microsoft Outlook to help manage extremely high volume of information

·        Must be able to listen and speak clearly on telephone
