Electrical Engineer

Revere is looking to hire more Engineers for multiple locations! We are an actively growing $50M automation business working in the Oil and Gas, Energy, Manufacturing and Water Industries with a national scope. Our corporate and manufacturing offices are located in Birmingham, AL, and we have other locations in Houston, TX, Texarkana, TX, Lakeland, FL, Charlotte, NC, and Chattanooga, TN.

We are looking for Electrical Engineers to join the Revere family, and we would love to find recent graduates or students who are about to graduate from an accredited university. As an Engineer, you will efficiently design, manage, test, implement, and complete projects in a timely manner meeting or exceeding project specifications and budget requirements. You will work with PLC based control panel designs including schematics, panel layouts, and bills of material, as well as calculate fuse sizing, breaker sizing, wire sizing, short circuit analysis, and perform in-shop testing and field startups. This position is exciting, because these Engineers get to work on a variety of projects and applications with opportunity for growth and development, and this role includes full project responsibility from start to finish. We would love to find students who worked as Engineering Co-Ops or Interns while studying in school.

Responsibilities include:
  • Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems
  • Design and direct personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment and determine methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products
  • Develop applications of controls, instruments, and systems 
  • Direct activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements
  • Direct and coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations
  • Use computer- assisted engineering and design software/ equipment to perform engineering tasks

Qualifications:
  • Candidate must have completed a bachelor level electrical engineering program from an accredited institution; or someone about to graduate
  • Candidate should be able to assist in designing electrical equipment and components, writing and testing new software programs as well as creating technical specifications and writing operational documentation.
  • Candidate should demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn technical skills.
  • Candidate should be honest and dependable.
  • Candidate should be self-motivated and have a proven ability to design, write and test software and provide hardware services for small projects with significant supervision.
  • Candidate should have good people skills, including the ability to interface with customers as well as co-workers.
