YMCA Sports Experience Coordinator

Great opportunity with the Tampa YMCA to join this dynamic, $33 million charity. We are seeking a proven, self-motivated, cause-driven professional to join our team. The Sports Experience Coordinator will assist in implementing and overseeing all sports programs including youth & adult sports, as well as clinics and sports camps. The position will work with and report directly to the Sports Experience Director and/or the Center Executive Director to provide quality service and communication to members and program participants and ensure an excellent Y program experience. This position will assist with staff and volunteer recruitment, training and development and overall program growth and quality.

REQUIREMENTS:
Associate's Degree in Health, Physical Education, related field or equivalent experience, preferred.

Two or more years of progressive sports programming experience in a wide variety of sports; including youth and adult sports.

Supervisory or team leadership experience with the demonstrated ability to engage, develop and motivate team members.

Highly motivated with the consistent ability to meet or exceed goals.

Ability to quickly build rapport and develop effective relationships with members and others to achieve goals.

Consistently self-driven and goal-oriented with the ability to set effective team and individual goals and take ownership for results.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adapt to changing contexts and priorities.

Successful completion of behavioral assessment, background screening and drug test. First Aid, CPR, AED and 02 obtained within first 30 days of employment and then maintained throughout employment.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs. Must have the ability to see, observe, and hear all participants, and make sound judgments and decisions. Ability to work in a variety of environments, specifically those subject to extreme humidity/dampness, heat and cold.
