Civil CAD Designer

Miller Legg is currently seeking a full-time CAD Designer to join our Engineering Team!
The position is ideal for a candidate who is proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and capable of Transforming complex rough product designs into working documents using computer aided design (CAD). Reviews engineering drawing and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs producing complex technical drawings from concept plan to construction documents.
Candidates should be able to efficiently plan and organize workload, demonstrate success working with a team of professionals, a commitment to quality, good communication skills, and a positive work ethic. The CAD Technicians will work on the design team for a variety of infrastructure improvement projects.
Responsibilities:
·        Design of municipal public works projects, such as underground utility installation and site development
·        The work will generally encompass all aspects of civil engineering with a focus on water, sewer, drainage, roadways, and grading
·        Prepare construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D
·        Conform to appropriate CAD standards and best practices
·        Evaluate and implement CAD specifications defined by clients
·        Perform quantity take-offs
Minimum Requirements:
·        Minimum 3+ years of CAD experience on civil engineering projects (water, sewer, drainage, grading, etc.) with a civil engineering consulting firm with similar duties as listed above
·        AutoCAD Civil 3D experience with civil projects required
·        Experience with other design applications, such as GIS is a plus
