Mechanical Engineer Intern (Summer Opportunities)
SUMMARY:

Oshkosh Corporation is looking for a Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our team for the Summer of 2019! - McConnellsburg, PA
- Shippensburg, PA

HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:
Assist in a variety of engineers (design, production, manufacturing, test, etc) with multiple tasks involving the mechanical engineering functions.
- Prepare vehicle component layouts using CAD software
- Select parts or components for quality conscious design, ie., weight, cost reliability, and ease of manufacturing
- Follow project on the assembly floor for prototype, pilot or production build and provide technical assistance
- Generate engineering calculations of weight distribution, stress analysis, performance estimations
- Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to find solutions to problems
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related field throughout the entire duration of internship
- Cumulative GPA of a 3.0 or above
WHAT WILL SET YOU APART:
- Mechanical aptitude and an understanding of design for manufacturing concepts
- Strong analytical reasoning or problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with automotive or heavy-duty equipment
- Experience using CATIA
