Summer Intern - Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering Intern

The position is in Mechanical New Product Engineering with focus on new product design and related activities within a project team.  The position is an excellent skill set development opportunity as it incorporates many facets of new product design.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • New product concept development through brainstorming
  • Mechanical CAD design – modeling and detail drawings of assemblies and components
  • Tolerance analysis
  • Strength analysis
  • Participation in related brainstorm activities
  • Processing Engineering change documentation


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Student may be currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology with a graduation date between December 2019 and December 2021
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
  • Good ethics & judgment
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Preferred overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative (e.g. school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc. or exceptional leadership on school/work projects)
  • Exposure to 3D CAD system work is desired; CREO, formerly Pro-E, is the system used
