Summer Intern - Mechanical Engineer
The core responsibility for the Engineering intern is to participate with the engineering team and perform tasks as assigned to meet project objectives and departmental goals.
Responsibilities:
- Actively involved in the engineering design process
- Participates in design reviews as assigned
- Provides written input for project reports, focusing on assigned tasks
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis
- Works under immediate supervision of more experienced engineers
- Receives direct assistance on difficult tasks
Requirements:
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Sophomore year must be complete by the start of the summer internship program for undergraduate candidates.
- Preferred overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 GPA scale.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative (e.g. school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc. or exceptional leadership on school/work projects). Good ethics & judgment.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Demonstrated strategic thought and problem solving skills.
- Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
