2019 Summer Undergraduate Internship - Project Engineering

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
 
This opportunity is with RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company — the second-largest U.S. tobacco company. The company's brands include Newport, Camel and Pall Mall. You will work in one of our manufacturing facilities in and around Winston-Salem, NC.
This role is highly visible and is an integral part of the RJRT Manufacturing team with tremendous learning opportunities. The intern in this position will be provide decision and analytical support to critical cross-functional areas and the manufacturing management team.
You will be assigned a challenging research project with a focus on project engineering, requiring creative thinking, problem solving, and teamwork as you interact with other personnel throughout our winning organization.
In addition, you will have fun while adding value and encountering outstanding career development support. This role is for a summer internship across the span of 10 weeks, and will conclude by mid-August.

TO SUCEED A PROJECT ENGINEERING INTERN at RJ REYNOLDS TOBACCO COMPANY IN 2019 YOU SHOULD BE:
  • A student who is working toward a BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least two years of exposure to engineering courses core to your concentration;
  • Excited to work in a manufacturing environment where hands-on application of your engineering skills will be utilized;
  • Able to work a full-time schedule during our 10-week internship experience starting in June;
  • Familiar with computer programming;
  • Knowledgeable about statistical concepts;
  • An innovative leader with strong influencing skills;

  • AND SOMEONE WHO:
  •  
  • Displays excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Has superior verbal and written communication skills;
  • Is willing to relocate to Winston-Salem, NC for the summer.
