ANALYST - ENGINEER - RESEARCH ANALYST - TRANSPORTATION DATA INFRASTRUCTURE SYSTEMS

Job Summary:

Serve both as a software developer and researcher; developing new technology areas for the Department and software solutions such as; intelligent transportation systems, oil and gas systems, space flight systems, and decision support systems. Utilize machine learning, analytics, and other advanced computer science techniques along with traditional system engineering software development. Perform in all phases of the development lifecycle including; requirements definition, software/systems design, implementation, testing, and integration. Initiate advanced research and development programs, interact with clients, and make technical presentations.


Education/Experience:

Requires a BS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related with an emphasis on software development and/or programming with 0-5 years of experience. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. PC development skills are required. Education and or internship experience involving ASP.NET MVC 3, Bash, C, C#, HTML/CSS, Java, JavaScript, jQuery, Ruby (on Rails), MySQL, PHP, Perl, SQL Server, or Linux preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well individually or as a member of a project team are required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Exposure to object oriented programming (programming languages such as but not limited to C++, C#, Java) is required. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
