Description of the position
We are looking for a passionate intern who brings creativity to the planning and execution of meaningful event experiences at StartUP FIU. Engagement and Experience intern will support the StartUP FIU team by creating event themes, creating invitations, coordinating speakers, ensuring a positive event experience, and maintaining a metric driven experience
As a Engagement & X’perience Intern you will…
· Plan and design events and related materials.
· Learn-adapt Approach- We never stop learning and our goal is to ALWAYS work in agile ways.
· Adapt the Design Thinking methodology to craft programming experiences for students, faculty/staff and community.
· Communicate with prospective speakers
· Assist in the development of content, curriculum, presentations and related materials
· Ensure that set-up, service and flow is always remarkable.
Requirements of applicant (skills)
· Excellent communication skills – oral and written
· Be highly organized and have excellent attention to detail
· Outstanding time management – ability to set goals, prioritize and meet deadlines,
· Problem solver and innovator
· Computer-literate and Internet savvy, with direct experience in using MS Office (Excel, Word), Google apps (Docs, Calendar, Gmail).
