Interdisciplinary Operations Research Analyst/Statistician
Joining the Secret Service, Office of Human Resources, Workforce Planning Division will allow you to serve as a the principal advisor for all matters that pertain to workforce planning, analysis, and forecasting for the entire Service. This Operations Research Analyst/Statistician position starts at a salary of $81,548 (GS-12, step 1), with promotion potential to $126,062 (GS-13, step 10).
The selectee will serve as an Operations Research Analyst/Statistician in the Office Human Resources, Workforce Planning Division. Typical work assignments include:
- Perform a variety of research and statistical work in support of workforce planning, forecasting, and analyses activities.
- Design, develop, and maintain workforce models to forecast and project the size and flow of the workforce.
- Develop strategies for addressing actual and potential organizational deficiencies based on projected skill gaps and demands.
- Establish and apply methods for evaluating the accuracy of results; formulate specifications and techniques for calculating and analyzing the documentation of data; and resolve statistical discrepancies that are observed during the collection and summarization process.
- Prepare and present formal briefings using graphic software and summarize results of studies and analytical investigations.
