Sales Engineer | Emerging Leader Program

Position Summary
The initial year-long program will begin with three months of hands-on training and job shadowing with industry experts at Stiles Machinery in Grand Rapids, MI, followed by three months of international training and experience at one of HOMAG’s global locations in Germany, Poland or China. This cycle will be repeated with three months back in the United States and an additional three months overseas, for a total of one year of professional training and real-life experience with a world-leading company.

During this time, candidates will be responsible for gaining an in-depth knowledge of the products and services offered by Stiles Machinery and HOMAG to further the success of the organization, our industry, and our customers.

Once you have completed your training, you will have the opportunity to relocate throughout the United States in a full-time job with a focus on sales and customer support for Stiles Machinery.
 
Essential Functions
·        Work within the organization and industry to keep fully abreast of new products or product applications that can further support our company and/or customers.
·        Research new products or services and report impact or benefit to business.
·        Perform cost justification (ROI) for machines, software and services.
·        Demonstrate consistent sales abilities through meeting objectives set by the company
·        Develop new business relationships in an effort to meet and/or exceed their expectations before, during and after a sale to expand market share.
·        Monitor, document and report on any situations (either positive or negative) as they can be addressed to improve the sales, installation or after the sales processes.
·        Be fully available to customers for their questions and concerns by being viewed as the expert and an individual with exceptional product and service knowledge.
·        Create and conduct sales and general information presentations.
·        Participate in beneficial association functions.

Qualifications
In order to be eligible for this opportunity, you must:
·        Be pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, International Business, Engineering, Marketing or Communications, or similar field, with expected graduation date in December 2018 or Spring 2019
·        Have a valid driver’s license and ability to acquire a passport
·        Have a strong desire for travel and adventure, both international and domestic
