Electrical Engineer (With Manufacturing Experience)


Boynton Beach, Florida

The Electrical Engineer’s main objective is to design, test and develop new products, implement improvements to existing products, as well as support customer, manufacturing and service needs while maintaining ISO documentation. The Engineer is responsible for the timely delivery and high quality of various projects as the project lead and will be called upon to support other projects through the use of their area of technical expertise.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Develop high quality product using the company defined phasegate development process
· Support technical efforts throughout the organization by employing their individual technical expertise
· Proactively review and improve products and processes
· Strong ability to work within teams, manage projects and deliver work assignments on time, within budget and at top quality.
· Position may require some lifting of instruments or equipment
· Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
· All other duties, as assigned
· Additional requirements for Engineers with an Electrical background:
  • Apply working knowledge of CR and EMI testing and compiling firmware code
  • Design control apparatus and equipment, develop methods, procedures and conditions for testing new and existing electronic systems
  • Create and support embedded system designs and program instruments
  • Soldering, wiring and PCB layout design
  • Design Firmware on a Linux based platform
  • Design control apparatus and equipment
  • Develop embedded instrument control

Background Requirements:
· BS in Engineering, Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a work related field
· Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a diverse team
· Team leader and self-motivated to work hard and deliver
· Working knowledge of CE and EMI testing
· Prior design experience in Electro-Mechanical devices is preferred
· Experience with high vacuum technology is preferred
· Basic knowledge of physical sciences
· Continuous improvement with a Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred
· Knowledge of compliance with national and international standards is preferred
· Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor or other parametric 3D modeling software is preferred
