The candidate filling this position will design, develop, test, and maintain real time software for space launch ground system applications as part of a team designing next generation launch control, Range Control, and ground systems for the commercial and government market.

This position requires a BS Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical/scientific field with 0-3 years’ experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. A working understanding of computer science concepts, object oriented programming, network systems, and common programming languages such as C/C++, Java, XML. Exposure to Linux/Unix programming environments is highly recommended.

The following skills are preferred for this position;

1.      Familiarity with software development in the Linux/Unix environment

2.      Experience with C/C++ development is essential

3.      Understanding of network communications systems

4.      Exposure to physical computing, embedded systems, and data acquisition and control applications is beneficial

5.      Exposure to Human Computer Interface development is beneficial
