Company Profile
Mainstream Engineering Corporation is a solutions-oriented research, development and manufacturing organization founded in 1986. Our mission is to develop thermal control and energy conversion products for military and private sectors. For more information on our firm, please visit us on the web at www.mainstream-engr.com
Position Summary
We are seeking thermal control engineers to support a wide range of existing projects and to ultimately lead new and innovative research programs. Mainstream capitalizes on advanced cooling technologies, such as microchannel cooling, jet impingement, induced cavitation, synthetic jets, and spray cooling to provide high heat flux cooling solutions for laser weapons, power electronics, and hypersonic vehicle components. We integrate our products into both active (e.g. vapor-compression refrigeration, Stirling cryocooler) and passive (e.g. oscillating heat pipe, copper-diamond heat spreader) systems. You will be responsible for transitioning technology from basic research to production and will therefore work in all aspects of R&D including design, numerical modeling and simulation, prototyping, test and evaluation, and product release.
