Associate in Engineering 1 – Graduate Engineer Program

ODOT's Graduate Engineering Program is designed for recent engineering graduates to transition from student to full-time engineer. For up to 24 months, GEP participants are provided rotational assignments throughout ODOT engineering disciplines. Participants are recognized as full-time employees, receiving a salary, a full benefits package, and mentorship from a registered professional engineer (PE). This can provide up to two years qualifying time toward obtaining PE licensure.
We are recruiting for a GEP candidate to join our traffic engineering team in La Grande. This important work includes:
- Supporting engineering and safety programs.
- Conducting traffic investigations.
- Researching and developing traffic control policies.
- Recommending traffic control placement and performing design.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in civil or transportation-related engineering (or graduation scheduled before June 2019).
OR
A Fundamentals of Engineering certificate (FE).
Special Qualifications:
Driving is an essential function of this position. A valid driver license and an acceptable driving record are required for this position. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s).
Additional Details:
