Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer has the responsibility of designing, developing, testing and supporting new and existing products from inception to end of life. This position is necessary to support present and future growth of the company.

Job Description:
  • Design and build hardware of power electronic converters.
  • Provide engineering support for new and existing products relating to system offerings, power converters, motor and/or variable speed drives
  • Conduct/Lead design reviews as necessary.
  • Travel to potential and existing customers to provide technical support as required
  • Coordinate and manage technical personnel on the project while interfacing with Program Office to ensure project milestones are being achieved.
  • Provide all necessary technical inputs for technical proposals.
  • Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance required.
Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer (need experience developing new products and sustaining activities).
  • 4+ years of experience of power conversion topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC, AC/AC and/or DC/AC)
  • 2+ years of experience with control loop theory as it relates to power converter design.
  • 2+ years of experience with schematic capture programs.
  • 3+ years of the theory, design and application of magnetics and capacitors used for power conversion.
  • 2+ years of experience with circuit simulation software skills (ex.PSPICE or similar).
  • Please be aware that this position requires a security clearance, or the ability to obtain one. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

  • C programming skills
  • Experience in designing AC/DC power converters, high power
  • Experience in developing active power factor front ends
