Manufacturing Engineer - Junior

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for process development, build development and transition to manufacturing of complex mechanical assemblies. This key role requires cross functional effectiveness both internally and externally with the project team, customers, suppliers and partners.
Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and maintain bill of materials, line layout, production control methods, clear assembly instructions, fixtures, and pFMEA’s
  • Plan, conduct and execute pre-production builds, with a vision for volume production
  • Consult with suppliers to determine product specifications, working with supply chain team to purchase equipment, materials, and parts
  • Interface with manufacturing partners for all stages of design transfer to ensure products meet performance criteria, delivering a quality product on-time
Requirements:
  • Associates Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Disciplines, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 2 years experience in regulated manufacturing environments
  • Experience with QA for medical devices, or technical writing a plus
  • Hands-on experience, with ability to independently assemble products and equipment
  • Passionate about understanding how things work, and solving tough technical problems
  • Strong communication and time management skills 
  • Limited travel – 10% domestic and international
