This position reports to the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for the Board of Governors. Areas of practice include, but are not limited to:
* Contract review;
* Interpretation, drafting and implementation of Board regulations and legislation;
* Processing public records requests;
* Board regulations; provides advice and consultation to Board staff;
* Legal issues related to student affairs;
* Interpretation and implementation of state and federal laws and regulations.
(This is a SES position)

Minimum Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the Florida Bar; knowledge and a minimum of three years of experience working with laws affecting higher education and related issues; knowledge of Florida statutes, Constitution, and federal law.

Preferred Qualifications
Legal experience with the State University System of Florida.

Hiring Range
$60,000 - $75,000
