Electronics Engineering Technician
Position Summary:
The manufacturing engineering technician performs tests and experiments on standard product as well as engineering samples and R&D items. Also works with production test and manufacturing equipment to help optimize throughput, yield and efficiency.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs tests and experiments on product for research and development programs.
- Performs engineering and R&D tasks which can involve the construction of product and production related items.
- Performs tests and experiments on product to help optimize production test and manufacturing equipment.
- Tests procedures and documentation for validity and assists in the writing and changing of documentation.
- Assists in tracking production down time and other issues involving production test equipment. Suggests methods for improvement including preventative maintenance schedules as well as other changes.
- Work in a team environment.
- All other assigned duties.
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Associate’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering with more than 3 years of applicable experience.
- Knowledge about Network Analyzers, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and scientific method a plus.
- Familiarity with multiple software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point is required.
- Good documentation skills and recording ability. Precise and ability to exactly follow instructions necessary.
- Good communication skills.
- Organized and reliable.
