Process Improvement Engineer - Electrically Inclined.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Commercial Metals is currently seeking Mechanical and Electrical Engineer Interns for summer 2019.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Cross train through the department to learn hands on skills related to industrial/engineering technology degree plans
• Provide assistance in the areas assigned to provide maximum equipment availability and reliability to the operation
• Maintain CMC Steel Florida quality standards, while utilizing all necessary safety equipment, plant equipment and tools through the safest means possible

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must currently be an actively enrolled student in an accredited university (Sophomore, Junior or Senior)
• Must possess strong interest in Industrial/Engineering Technologies and be enrolled in this type of degree plan (Junior/Senior level preferred)
• Able to work a flexible schedule to include 40-hour work weeks during summer (June-August)
• Working knowledge of engineering software such as Auto CAD and Solid Works programs and processes in Microsoft windows
• Ability to manipulate and utilize Working Drawings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, highly motivated, and self-starter
• Use good decision making and problem solving skills to understand and meet customer expectations
• Able to work in a team environment
• Work in a varying temperature and weather conditions
• Understand Manufacturing processes and maintenance reliability
• Previous internship experience with CMC or other companies preferred
