Quality Assurance - Quality Engineering Intern

Division: Biologics Global Manufacturing and Supply (GPS) - Syracuse Quality Assurance - Quality Engineering

Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled in school the semester of and/or during the assignment, as well as the semester following the assignment, with a 3.0+ GPA
  • Must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) from June 3, 2019 - mid August 2019
  • Qualified candidates will have completed junior-level coursework towards a bachelor’s degree or be enrolled in a master’s or MBA degree program.Desired backgrounds / degrees include: Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability, interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills.
  • Technical writing ability required, as well as expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.MS Visio experience preferred.
  • Previous work experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or a related industry preferred.

Project Description:
  • Develop a Quality Risk Register for the BMS-Syracuse Site:
 
  1. Compile a list of high level quality risk items identified at BMS-Syracuse
  2. Summarize identified risks and provide a dynamic view of the overall risk for the site
  3. Author a technical report to document the completed risk register
  4.  
Create a Quality Risk Catalogue for the BMS-Syracuse Site
  1. Compile a list of all quality risk assessments performed at BMS-Syracuse
  2. Author a technical report to document the quality risk catalogue
  3. Create a system for the routine update of the completed catalogue
  4. Evaluate Risk Register and Catalogue for potential improvements to existing QRM documentation

Key Deliverables at Project Completion:
  1. BMS-Syracuse Quality Risk Register
  2. BMS-Syracuse Quality Risk Catalogue
  3. Interns are expected to present the results from their specific assignments at the conclusion of the internship.
  4. Poster presentation
  5. Departmental presentation
