Material Engineer
Evaluation and analysis of material which is or will be used for NA DENSO plants in cooperation with related parties such as Design, Quality and Production Engineering for organizations including DENSO NA Plants, DENSO headquarters, and material suppliers. Specifically, metallic materials will be the initial main areas of focus with strong possibility to branch into other areas either material or processing related
Material development for localization and cost reduction.
Failure analysis on material/parts.
R & D support for advanced material technology.
Audit of current and potential suppliers
Minimum Qualifications:
BS in Materials Science or Metallurgy
0-5 (including co-op or research project)
Knowledge of material engineering with a focus on metal and manufacturing processes.
General knowledge of material evaluation / analysis methods and an interest in R&D.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree
Material investigation and processing
Corrosion testing, metallography analysis, SEM, EDX, etc.
