Electrical Engineering Development Program

Your Job
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers onsite and remotely to complete tasks related to engineering solutions supporting projects with multiple customers in the off-highway, agricultural equipment, and aerospace industries
  • Participate in design projects using a variety of CAD software to draft, design, and update systems and components related to wire harness routing, cable design and detailing, power electronic systems design, switches, control panels, test equipment
  • Develop component specifications, specification documentation, test documents
  • Support the fabrication of prototypes, test equipment, lab set-up, electrical testing, simulation
  • Perform system and component testing, verification, validation, certification using both physical and simulation-based test methods, laboratory tools, test benches, and software
  • Work with team on a variety of brainstorming exercises to create new solutions and implement cutting-edge technologies and practices into processes and designs
  • Develop a close working relationship with some of the world’s top companies in the Off-Highway Domain and the Agricultural Equipment Domain
  • Learn industry-leading business acumen with a company that is dedicated to providing World Class engineering solutions to some of the most diverse and progressive companies across the globe
  • Work with other fields of study and engineering leaders to support ongoing projects as required
Your Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study from an accredited institution
  • You must have a passion for learning and the desire to always raise the bar, push the limits, and go further than before
  • You must have the ability to fail gracefully – in a development program you have not mastered your craft: you should be able to fail, learn from the mistakes, and go further and better the next time
  • You must have a curiosity that helps you always cross the boundary and discover more; creativity, curiosity and asking ‘why’ is a cornerstone to finding success at L&T
  • You must be a team player; we are a company built on collaboration and creativity, and our sustainability hinges on our employees’ willingness to create open discussion, foster an environment of sharing information, provide the highest level of mutual respect
  • You must be willing to teach - even your mentors - during your development program may have some things to learn about the newest technologies or best practices that are being taught in university today
