Social Media Intern

Position Summary:
To support the Director of Development in creating and executive a compelling, informative, and engaging social media plan. Ultimate goal is to the improve messaging, reach a broader audience, and increase online presence.  

Qualifications Required:
·        Ability to understand and practice the mission of Camillus House.
·        Education: High School or GED. Minimum of 1 year of experience in marketing, content writing and/or a customer services related setting.
·        Language: Proficiency in oral/written English; Spanish preferred; additional languages a plus (i.e. Creole)
·        Skills: Proficiency in computer preferred (Word, Excel, other data collecting programs).
·        Successful completion of Toxicology test and of Criminal Background Check.
·        Successful completion of Level II screening for all licensed clinicians and others if required by funding source. 
 
Qualifications Preferred:
·        Currently enrolled in higher education courses or a Bachelors Degree program.
·        Graphic Design experience
·        Social Media experience
·        Culturally sensitive to the social, psychological and healthcare needs of the vulnerable populations serviced.
·        Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills in order to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
·        A self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as, with multidisciplinary teams and co-workers.
·        Ability to maintain a high level of poise and professionalism in all circumstances.
 
Essential Skills and Experience: 
·        Facilitate with all social media efforts including updating the calendar, creating content, scheduling posts and conducting research.
·        Create daily social media content including posts, testimonials, short video and stories.
·        Design images and graphics to post online as needed.
·        Interview clients and write their stories for social media and other newsworthy platforms.
·        Schedule and organize tours of the facilities to prospects.
·        Create social media campaigns for specific times of the year including Give Miami Day, the Gala, Auction and more.
·        Support other Development duties including thank you, prospect and donor calls, maintaining the leader-board, managing the donor database, and special events activities.
·        Other Duties as requested.

Work Schedule:
·        Ability to work Monday through Friday, during 8:00 am – 6:30 pm. Schedule to vary depending on the availability of all parties.
