Engineering Interns

SHINE Medical Technologies is immediately seeking Engineering Interns or Co-Op students reporting to the Engineering Managers who will have an opportunity to work on a first of a kind nuclear system design from the ground up in manufacturing plant being designed for nuclear pharmaceuticals.

These positions will specifically focus on supporting the design and development of mechanical and nuclear systems which ensure the safe, efficient and effective operation of the facility.

Key responsibilities include supporting the design and implementation of systems for the recovery of Mo-99 from an irradiated uranium solution. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to be involved in the design and implementation of a wide variety of systems. Experience in performing calculations as well as knowledge of equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers, valves and control equipment is highly desired. Additionally, the ideal candidates will have some experience with design based tools such as Solidworks, AutoCAD or Inventor.

We are seeking candidates who are currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.

Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls regulations (U.S. Citizen or National, U.S. Permanent Resident, Asylee, or Refugee). Additionally, applicants’ eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug test, fingerprinting, and a criminal background check.
