Motor Controls Engineer (800h)

#800 MOTOR CONTROL ENGINEER

The Motor Control Engineer will be responsible for performing electric motor control algorithm design and development activities for electrified powertrain, including PHEV/BEV/FCEV applications.

Responsibilities:

·      Advance the E-Motor control technology through the use of innovation methods, tools and processes
·      Establish best practices for e-motor related analysis, controls and testing
·      Perform E-Motor control algorithm development in Simulink/TargetLink models, auto code generation, algorithm verification and validation through simulation, hardware-in-the-loop and dyno tests
·      Perform issue resolution and testing of E-Drive systems in dynamometer and vehicle environments

Requirements:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
·      2+ years of relevant experience
·      Experience with theory of AC IPM/induction motors and their controls for automotive applications
·      Experience with automotive software development processes, particularly requirement management and engineering, aligned with automotive SPICE
·      Experience in modeling, simulation and control algorithm development with MATLAB/Simulink/TargetLink
·      Experience with embedded software algorithm design and testing on different platforms, such as HIL/Emulator /dyno is preferred
