 Special Instructions and/or Waivers Needed: Participants will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement form prior to arrival at FDOT District Four Office;

 Description of Shadowing Opportunity:

 You will work with and shadow a construction project administrator on several different tasks. Including but not limited to:

Field visit to a complex construction project

Participate in a project progress meeting

Prepare a daily report of construction

Given a brief introduction to the organization and overview of construction staff at Broward Operations.

There are over 20 ongoing FDOT Construction Projects in Broward County including the Wave Streetcar project and the 95 Express Phase 3A-2.

This department focus on Retrofitting bridge railings.

Constructing concrete barrier wall transitions. One key project is the 95 Express Phase 3A-2. This scope of work for this project improvements will include extending the existing express lanes north from just north of Commercial Boulevard to just south of SW 10th Street in Broward County.

The department does more than construct and build roads and bridges, they are committed to providing safe and efficient facilities for the traveling public.
