Facilities Engineering, Intern

SUMMARY: 
Qorvo is looking for a student to work as a Facilities Engineering Intern during the summer of 2019. The student in this position will be exposed to Facilities Engineering design methods, system modeling and project development. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Support the Controls Engineer in the hardware installation, program development, HMI screen development and operational testing of the Building Management System (BMS) upgrade
  • Under the guidance of the Controls Engineer; install hardware, convert and load programming and test system operation for Chemical Delivery Unit upgrade
  • Design, program and test the controls for new Nickel-Plating Line. This includes the development of System P&ID and Sequence of Operation

QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Currently enrolled undergraduate student – System & Controls Eng. Or Electrical Eng. with system & controls experience Or Mechanical Eng. with system & controls experience  
  • Student must be in the junior or senior levels of their curriculum. Must have completed at least one course in control systems, signal processing and/or logic design
  • Self-Starter with good verbal communication and report writing skills
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA or Higher 

Because this is a student internship, candidate must be a currently enrolled student in a degree-seeking accredited program.
