Quality Engineer

The Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager and will provide support for Quality Assurance (QA) / Quality Control (QC) personnel in direct support of compliance to AS9100, contract, customer, and/or regulatory requirements. 

  • Responsible for supporting the Quality Assurance Management in quality planning and quality system improvements to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, Customer, Government, Regulatory and Statutory requirements
  • Manages QA based data reporting tools / database management
  • Lead for Lean Six Sigma projects / Continual Improvement initiatives
  • QA Process Owner – ERP system: Oversees the implementation relative to QA/QC related tools, subsequent training, and usage techniques by QA/QC personnel
  • Supports QA/QC personnel, as requested, in the development and/or revision of procedures, inspection plans, inspection methodology relative to Subtier product quality
  • Ensures the development and analysis of statistical data in support of meeting quality objectives and to obtain optimum product quality and reliability
  • Confers with QA/QC personnel relative to continual improvement activities and promotes required changes in support of meeting goals and objectives established by the Quality Assurance Management / SMT
  • Member of Material Review Board

Required Skills:
  • BS in Engineering (related field i.e. Electronics, Mechanical, etc.) required
  • 2+ years in Quality Engineering
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing knowledge required
  • Able to travel, primarily US, in support of on-site Subtier improvement activities


Desired Skills:
  • CMM Programming experience desirable
  • ISO / AS Lead Auditor Certification desirable
  • ASQ CQE or CQM desirable
  • Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Lean Quality desired
