Software Tester/Automation Engineer
Hybrid has an opening for a Software Tester/Automation Engineer to join our talented, dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years' experience working in a QA Testing/Support role with experience debugging, troubleshooting and creating/executing test plans. Preference given to candidates with experience in automation and performance testing with Rational Suite. We offer an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401K.
**Must be local to Central FL to work in our Kissimmee Office full-time**
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and execute automated test events in accordance with approved test plans, procedures and scripts.
- Develop automated test scripts in accordance with requirements.
- Exercise knowledge and skill to ensure that test environments are set up accurately.
- Develop test reports.
- Test IT hardware, software, systems and networks.
- Develop automated tests using Java
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in technology based major or related field.
- Proficient at creating test plans and scenarios
- Familiarity with IBM's Rational Quality Manager tool for defect and test management
- Experience in automation and performance testing with Rational Suite
- Must be highly motivated with exceptional communication skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and work well in a cross functional environment
- Basic knowledge of software development lifecycles
- Programming/Software Development experience with Java preferred
- Ability to understand, communicate, and analyze requirements; Ability to identify gaps in requirements
- Solid knowledge of software testing approaches and methodologies
- MUST be a U.S. citizen and possess a valid Driver's License
- MUST be able to pass an FBI background investigation and drug test
