Systems Engineering Coop
In this role, you have the opportunity to develop requirements, hardware, and automation/benchmarking software in a lab and/or manufacturing environment to verify system performance meets the requirements.
You are responsible for
- Defining or clarifying requirements.
- Design and implementation of hardware or software utilities to test requirements.
- Verify hardware/software tests intended requirements. (independently, in system, or both).
- Automating verification process and writing acceptance test procedures (ATPs).
- Placing work products into appropriate tools for future use.
You are a part of the System Engineering group, which brings together system components from other groups and designs interfaces (backplanes, etc.) so that all pieces work together as a system, including verification and manufacturing procedures.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
- Currently enrolled in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering program in junior or senior year.
- Be an independent, self-motivated, fast learning worker.
- Have knowledge of Linux, ruby, bash, python, C. Comfortable working on hardware.
- Able to work in a team environment and create written communications.
- Experience with robots, Ardunios, and/or Raspberry Pis is desirable.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions: Able to lift and move up to 25 lbs objects occasionally.
Travel Requirements: Travel is not required. Transportation is required, as some work may be done in Hudson, NH (25 minutes from Andover, MA).
