Industrial Engineer / Assistant Facilities Manager

DHL is hiring a customer focused professional with a background in Industrial Engineering to join our Facilities Management team. This position is at our Regional office in Plantation, Florida.

In your day-to-day role, you will:
· Provide project management and process improvement guidance to Facilities Management
· Focus on system implementations, automation, measurement of kpi’s
· Influence change and lead Facilities to next level of digitalization
· Provide excellent service to all levels of associates including the C-Suite
· Lead facilities-related activities on a daily basis
· Participate in move management activities
· Manage vendor contact relationships
· Maintain and repair facilities/preventative maintenance
· Develop and maintain facilities services database
· Update facility floor plans
· Supervise mailroom services staff; work scheduling, work coordination, coaching and performance evaluation
· Back up to Facilities Manager

Your background will include:
· University Degree in Industrial Engineering required
· 2-4 years’ experience in a corporate setting required
· Industrial & Process engineering experience required
· Project management experience required
· Facilities Maintenance knowledge required
· Supervisory skills & experience
· CAD & commercial space planning experience
· Spanish language would be plus
· Good leadership and team development skills.
· Ability to deal effectively with people both internally and externally.
· Good organization and supervision skills.
· Detail oriented with good follow up skills.
· Customer service and action oriented
· Good sense of logic and problem solving skills.
· Technically competent with office environments and related equipment.
· Develop and implement processes to manage the building systems.
