We are currently looking for an In- Service Engineering Intern in our Irvine, CA location.

The mission of the Intern for In-Service Engineer is to provide solutions for In-Service Technical Issues. They contribute to Customer Satisfaction by investigating system in-service issues and proposing appropriate solutions to meet the expected System Performance.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Investigations
  • Proactively take ownership of identified issues to analyze, characterize & investigate.
  • Debug & Develops SW solutions to pursue investigations on Aircraft
  • Supports and assist Hardware level troubleshooting during in-service operations.
  • Solution development
  • Leads the fix (SW/HW)for in service issues to resolution
  • Debug SW/HW issues and identify/propose/develop solutions.
  • Supports the in-service deployment strategy and effectiveness of fixes (SW/HW).
  • Communication:
  • Provides visibility on accomplishments and progress on in service issues
  • Communicates regularly with field and In-Service Leads assigned to the account
  • Presents ideas effectively to internal and external personnel

Minimum Qualifications:
  • You must be currently pursuing one of the following undergraduate degrees as a Junior or Senior: Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
  • Have understanding on Python, Perl, XML, Android, Connectivity-Protocols
  • Have working knowledge of Interfacing & Networking: Serial, Ethernet, IP/MAC addressing, VLANs, broadcast & multicast.
  • Be capable of understanding communication protocols and there relation in connectivity world.
  • Understanding of GIT, JIRA and other collaboration tools are plus.
  • Be capable of understanding SW design and concepts and explaining how the SW utilizes the HW.
  • Be capable of debugging existing SW and create test stubs and automate functional behaviors using scripting.
  • Be capable of interpreting mechanical and electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Returning for at least one more semester following the summer 2019 internship
  • Able to work full time hours (40 hours) for 12 weeks
  • You will have previous work experience outside the classroom
  • You will have great written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well under deadlines
  • Authorization to work in the United States
