We are currently looking for an IVVQ Engineer Intern in our Melbourne, FL location. The IVVQ Engineer Intern performs integration and system test functions for embedded software running on aircraft systems that support the aircraft’s connectivity and IFE systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exposure to ICD’s and system requirements necessary to test our IFE systems
  • Exposure to End to End system data flows to validate data
  • Analyze business/technical requirements to understand test needs
  • Gain experience with trouble shooting issues within the system
  • Exposure to requirements development to ensure they are testable
  • Exposure to writing test procedures to verify the system functions as designed according to the requirements, and CONOPS
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide appropriate support to identify and solve problems
  • Gain experience with the execution and maintainability of test procedures and provide test results/reports
  • Exposure to providing feedback and written details for major issues encountered
  • Exposure to tool development for process efficiency improvements
  • Exposure to writing automated tests with test tools in expert view using scripts or code

Qualifications:
  • Most be enrolled in an accredited university or college as a Junior or Senior and have completed at least 2 semesters/quarters within the Computer Science or Computer Engineering field. 
  • Familiarity with satellite concepts, architecture, and terminology
  • Familiarity with common networking concepts and protocols; experience with protocol analysis
  • Familiarity with C++ and Java based system architectures, test standards and tools, and standard web-services standards and architectures
  • Familiarity with Python, PHP, MySql, and other tools used for automation
  • Familiarity with Jira, Jama, Confluence, and Stash(git)
  • Familiarity with Linux administration and virtualization (VBox, VMWare, KVM)
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall and plan-driven development processes for complex systems
  • Computer Literate with Microsoft Tools: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and Project
  • Strong analytical abilities to support troubleshooting
  • Self –motivated, critical thinker with technical background
  • Ability to work independently as well as in teams with members of other engineering and non-engineering teams
  • Ability to communicate technical issues in an assertive and tactful manner.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Must be proficient in English both verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work full time hours (40 hours) for 12 weeks.  Internship start date is May 20th 2019.
