Entry- Level Water Consultant / Engineer- Akron, Ohio

Arcadis is seeking passionate Entry-Level Water Management Consultant/Engineer, to join our National Asset Management Team in Akron, OH. This position will contribute to a variety of projects--both locally and throughout the country--utilizing your technical knowledge of water and wastewater systems, combined with data analytics and asset management to develop innovative solutions throughout the national market. Collaborating with our experienced Water Professionals, you will support and drive the development of projects, interact and work with clients, and develop your technical capabilities. Arcadis provides multiple onboarding and development programs created for our young professionals that support professional growth and help drive creativeness, innovation, and greater integration within our local, national and global teams.

The ideal candidate will 
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written--public speaking, ability to communicate effectively as part of a team and with clients and for the preparation/development of technical documents
  • Familiarity with water and wastewater systems
  • Data processing, data cleaning, and data analytics skills
  • Familiarity and understanding of relational databases
  • Experience with data processing and visualization software, including Tableau and PowerBI

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Work on a variety of other water and wastewater infrastructure, including water and wastewater treatment and water/wastewater facilities evaluations, utilities assessments and capital improvement planning
  • Develop and review technical reports for projects
  • Develop and review technical presentations for projects
  • Ensure data integrity and credibility of all results that are presented regardless of the format in which the data is represented by
  • assess and understand the business requirements behind requests
  • qualify data which is used for data analysis
  • take appropriate reconciliation steps to tie results to financial reporting where appropriate
  • Assist with data analysis to produce capital improvement plans
  • Assist others with defining the scope of work and objectives through research and fact-finding, combined with a strong understanding of business line and industry requirements
  • Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis’ practices and quality and safety standards
  • Facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of project deliverables
  • Maintain and increase professional and technical knowledge by having regular participation with industry Association’s; attending workshops, making presentations and reviewing professional publications
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications :
  • B.S. in Engineering, Management Information Systems, Engineering Management or another closely related field with a focus on water

Preferred Qualifications :
  • Master's degree
