Entry- Level Water Consultant / Engineer- Akron, Ohio
Arcadis is seeking passionate Entry-Level Water Management Consultant/Engineer, to join our National Asset Management Team in Akron, OH. This position will contribute to a variety of projects--both locally and throughout the country--utilizing your technical knowledge of water and wastewater systems, combined with data analytics and asset management to develop innovative solutions throughout the national market. The ideal candidate will
- Exceptional Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written--public speaking, ability to communicate effectively as part of a team and with clients and for the preparation/development of technical documents
- Familiarity with water and wastewater systems
- Data processing, data cleaning, and data analytics skills
- Familiarity and understanding of relational databases
- Experience with data processing and visualization software, including Tableau and PowerBI
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Work on a variety of other water and wastewater infrastructure, including water and wastewater treatment and water/wastewater facilities evaluations, utilities assessments and capital improvement planning
- Develop and review technical reports for projects
- Develop and review technical presentations for projects
- Ensure data integrity and credibility of all results that are presented regardless of the format in which the data is represented by
- assess and understand the business requirements behind requests
- qualify data which is used for data analysis
- take appropriate reconciliation steps to tie results to financial reporting where appropriate
- Assist with data analysis to produce capital improvement plans
- Assist others with defining the scope of work and objectives through research and fact-finding, combined with a strong understanding of business line and industry requirements
- Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis’ practices and quality and safety standards
- Facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of project deliverables
- Maintain and increase professional and technical knowledge by having regular participation with industry Association’s; attending workshops, making presentations and reviewing professional publications
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Required Qualifications :
- B.S. in Engineering, Management Information Systems, Engineering Management or another closely related field with a focus on water
Preferred Qualifications :
- Master's degree
