Lead Electrical Space Engineer

The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) has been developing innovative technologies and solutions for cutting-edge NASA and DoD programs for almost six decades. Our expertise is in space and airborne IR, VIS, UV, and RF sensors, small satellite technologies, test and calibration, cybersecurity, data visualization and assurance, and ground stations.

SDL is seeking an electrical engineer to perform detailed analog and/or digital designs of high reliability electronics systems and subsystems for on-orbit applications. The selected candidate will work with small to large teams of engineers producing high-reliability, high-quality instrumentation and space-based electronics. 

Required Qualifications:
·  BSEE and 10+ years in electrical engineering
·  5+ years experience in high reliability design for space-borne systems, including design, parts selection, fabrication oversight, and pre-launch testing
·   Understanding of radiation considerations in electronic design for on-orbit applications
·   Ability to work in a laboratory environment
·   Strong communication skills both written and verbal
·   US citizen
·   Able to travel as required

Preferred Qualifications:
·   MSEE in electrical engineering
·   10+ years experience with high-reliability, space-borne electronics design and fabrication
·   FPGA Experience
·   Serial Communication Interfaces
