Electrical Engineer
RHI Magnesita is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in York, PA. This position will support to our mining and refractory brick manufacturing processes. The engineer will be responsible for developing and managing the electrical and controls portion of projects to install new equipment or upgrade existing equipment. Projects may include medium and low voltage power distribution, controls circuits, automation, and programming. This position will also be responsible for providing technical and hands-on assistance to the maintenance and production departments to maintain and improve production systems.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Industrial electrical systems including sizing and circuit protection
- Motor control systems
- Control systems incorporating logic controllers, hard-wired circuits, process sensors, actuators and other control devices
- Electrical prints using AutoCAD
- Control panels
- Automated equipment including vision systems, measuring systems, and robotic equipment
- Develop project scopes, estimates, and specifications
- Obtain bids for equipment and installation
- PLC ladder logic and structured text
- HMI graphics and scripting
- Robots
- Vision system configuration
- PC configuration and support, including networking and industrial communications
- Develop and maintain schedules for design, build, and install operations
- Direct contractors to perform electrical installations
- Direct start-up activities
- Responsible for project budgets, timelines, and reporting
- Provide technical support for production operations
- Assist maintenance professionals with troubleshooting equipment failures
Required Education and Experience
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of electrical project engineering and hands-on experience in an industrial environment
