Staff Engineer (Construction & Geotechnical)
For the positions being advertised in this posting the successful candidate’s primary job responsibilities will be as a Staff Geotechnical Engineer working on projects throughout the Atlanta metropolitan statistical area (MSA).
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Staff/project engineering duties including data reduction, analysis & fieldwork for commercial, industrial, retail, government, office and residential projects (both Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing/Inspection)
- Assisting with project management & reporting
- Field inspection, sampling & testing of soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, etc.
- Report preparation
- Client consultation and maintenance
- Providing assistance to other NOVA team members to promote the overall objectives of the company.
The preferred candidate will have:
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College/University and 0-1+ years applicable experience.
- Successfully passing the F.E. exam is a must
- Strong communication skills are a must.
- Position entails approximately 70% fieldwork and 30% office with possible, occasional travel.
