SUMMARY:
Qorvo is looking for a student to work as a RF/Analog Integrated Circuits Design Engineering Intern during the summer of 2020. The student in this position will be exposed to all aspects of design and characterization of MMIC die and package for 5G mm-wave applications.  Scope of work will depend heavily on the candidate’s experience level and skill set.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the design of Amplifiers, Mixers, Switches, ADCs, DACs in RFICs/MMICs in GaAs/SiGe /CMOS/SOI. Also help design mm-wave packaging. Knowledge of antenna and python programming is a plus.
Perform linear, non-linear and electromagnetic (EM) simulations using a combination of commercially available tools.
Prepare and present design review(s) to peers summarizing work/results.
Measure and analyze RF/Microwave performance of modules and/or MMICs in the engineering lab.

REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate shall be currently enrolled in an accredited program seeking an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with focus on RF/Analog circuit design. BS candidates must be within one semester of completing their senior year.
Student must have completed some relevant mixed- signal/analog/RF circuit design course work.
Candidate shall be proficient with Cadence (Spectre and Verilog-AMS), ADS or MWO CAD simulation software.
Candidate shall be familiar with a planar 3D EM solver (Sonnet, Momentum, Axiem, HFSS).
Knowledge of antenna design is a plus.
Knowledge of python programming is a plus.
Self-Starter with good communication skills.
