OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
Responsible for developing, and implementing web based applications. Responsible for working with project managers and other district offices and staff to define pertinent specifications for web based applications. Specifies the required logical interface needed to display applications on the web. Also requires database development and data reporting. · Responsible for working on projects of medium complexity. Communicates and works effectively at the team level.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
1. Develop and maintain web-based and stand-alone applications using some subset of the following: HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, .Net VB, C#, SOL, Microsoft Reporting Services, XML, Ajax, Web Services, Active Directory
2. Set and meet realistic project milestones while producing high quality solutions
3. Code, test and debug new applications and enhancements according to design and specifications
4. Work directly with the users through the entire development phase of the project
5. Code, test and debug new applications and enhancements according to design and specifications
6. Manage code revisions and variations
7. Supervise user acceptance testing and other developers when assigned a lead developer role.
8. Develops and produces computerized personnel, budge and other reports used in negotiations.
9. Prepares and delivers presentations and submits written reports for review.
10. Perform other duties related to the general administrative responsibilities of the position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This work requires the following physical activities: climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, lifting, finger dexterity, hearing and visual acuity.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Computer Science or equivalent education and work experience.
2. Four (4) years experience in developing and implementing complex information systems is required in a system comparable to the current environment at M DCPS.
3. Eighteen months of complex analytical experience.
4. Courses in pertinent Data Processing software, system and programming techniques.
5. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
