Software Engineer II

Qualifications
  • 1+ years of Software Engineering/Development experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
Typical day in the life of this positon is as follows:
  • As we have an Agile environment, we have “daily stand-up” (aka “scrum”) Microsoft Teams meeting. We start with any management-type news from the previous day, then we go around the team with each person describing what they did the previous day and what they plan to do today. We will discuss any “blockers” that are preventing developers or QA or UAT from proceeding. We will also discuss discrepancies on requirements and answer questions (if any).
  • Then developers go to work, following are the types of work:
  • Write brand new code consuming existing micro-services and/or common libs. Most of developers time spent on developing new code as we are keep adding new applications and Services (API).
  • Modify existing code to enhance functionalities and fix issues.
  • Troubleshoot production issues.
  • Review code changes with team mates and lead.
  • Review other team members code changes.
  • Setup CI/CD pipelines.
  • Developers work a lot with teams in other offices (Boca Raton FL, Alpharetta GA, King of Prussia and Minneapolis), Microsoft Teams is used for meetings and collaboration. We use JIRA for requirements and project tracking and Confluence for sharing documentation and collaboration.

  • Tools: Eclipse, and Pentaho BI and Microsoft Power BI

  • CI/CD: Maven, ELK, Sonarqube, Jenkins, Junit and Nexus
