System Test Engineer: The applicant will apply engineering concepts to develop test methodologies to verify compliance of evolving software intensive systems with functional requirements in a system of systems environment, focusing on the use of Tomahawk in the Naval Strike Warfare Mission area. The applicant will serve as a team lead, operator, and data analyst for small, focused, test teams. The applicant’s duties will include: functional requirement analysis, test documentation creation, test execution in both a laboratory environment and on board Navy platforms, data analysis to produce test results, documentation of system deviations, and investigation of fleet reported issues in fielded systems. Candidates should be pursuing or have obtained a B.S. or greater in Engineering, Physics, or Math.

Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Dahlgren, Virginia is one of the ten Divisions of the Naval Surface Warfare Center. It is the Navy’s principal research, development, and test & evaluation laboratory for surface ship combat systems. It performs warfare analysis, research, design, development, systems integration, strategic missile systems support, special and amphibious warfare and fleet engineering services. As one of the lead laboratories for the Navy, its civilian scientists and engineers take on demanding research and development programs.
