Palace Acquire (PAQ) Program - Installation Engineering and Environmental

Palace Acquire (PAQ) Program for those with the following degrees:
Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, etc.), Architecture, Community Planning, Emergency Management, Chemistry, Biology, Physical Sciences, Natural Resource Management, and Environmental Management.

Air Force Installation Engineers are responsible for the planning, operation, maintenance, construction management, environmental, and engineering of the Air Force’s largest weapon system —its installations.

Civilian Engineers are critical members of our team, providing the diverse expertise and leadership needed to secure our nation’s defense.

The Air Force is providing opportunities for full-time employment for recent and upcoming graduates. The PAQ program assigns you to an Air Force Installation and provides two years of formal and on-the-job training to expose you to all aspects of an Air Force Engineering career.  You will work shoulder to shoulder with current engineers and other professionals including military and civilians. You will make a real contribution to the mission of the United States Air Force (USAF) and gain invaluable real-world experience.

After two or three years working with the Air Force you can expect to be earning $74,596 to $90,512 depending on location. From there, further advancement is very likely if you are eager, willing to learn, and a hard worker. The program starts engineers with a Bachelor’s Degree at $47,264 - $51,026 depending on location. Engineer’s with a Master’s degree start at $57,809 - $62,415 depending on location. 
 
Upon successful completion of the PAQ program, you will be outplaced as a mid-level engineer, scientist, or other professional in the Air Force Civilian Workforce. A full-time PAQ intern offer includes a career development plan, competitive salary, annual non-competitive promotions while in the program, student loan repayment plan for undergraduate loans, tuition reimbursement/assistance for Master’s degree and all the benefits Federal employees enjoy. 10 paid holidays, 13 pay vacation days (increasing to 26), paid sick leave, flexible schedules at many locations, health insurance plans, retirement plan, and matching Thrift Savings Plan (similar to a 401K)

Requirements:
US Citizenship
Current student graduating no later than June 2020 or recent graduate (within last two years)
Minimum GPA of 2.95 on a 4.0 grading scale
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance (Air Force will fund the clearance)
Positions available at over 25 installations throughout the United States.
