Have you ever seen the remains of a car crash and wondered -- what happened?

We are a small forensic engineering firm in Florida, and our job is to investigate and explain vehicle crashes. We are passionate about delivering competent, ethical service to clients. We are looking for bright, entry-level engineers who are willing to work hard and learn a field that they may not have studied in school.

A successful candidate will be able to think outside the box and have patience. You will have strong math and reading skills; an enjoyment of hands-on inspections in the field; and the ability to explain the physics of a crash to a layperson.

This is not a desk job!

As a member of our engineering team, you will:
  • Help investigate and reconstruct motor vehicle accidents
  • Travel to and inspect accident scenes and vehicles
  • Collect and preserve evidence using high-tech equipment, including digital cameras, drones, and laser mapping
  • Extract event data ("black box" data) from passenger and commercial vehicles
  • Help develop and maintain field equipment
  • Analyze evidence to determine factors including speeds, collision forces, and occupant kinematics
  • Utilize analysis tools including simulation programs, 3-D modeling, and photogrammetry
  • Generate visual displays such as PowerPoint slides, CAD drawings, and 3-D animations to present to clients and the public
  • Research and test accident reconstruction methods and technologies
  • Develop your public speaking skills to interact with clients

Requirements for this position include the following:
  • Strong desire to learn and advance as an engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, or automotive engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
  • Proficiency in CAD, MathCAD, and MS Office
  • Mechanical aptitude and/or understanding of automotive mechanics (preferred)
  • Competence with digital photography
  • Experience with simulations or 3-D modeling (preferred)
  • Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs. and to work outdoors in the hot Florida climate
  • Clean driving record, as you will be responsible for driving company vehicles

This full-time position will involve travel within three hours driving distance at least twice a week, with some overnight stays. The hours may vary depending on the job. Every day is different.

Our company offers competitive salaries and benefits. We pay for continuing education and forensic training, and we encourage our engineers to pursue P.E. licensure.
