Mechanical Engineering Co-Op

Vanderweil Engineers is a 450+ person MEP Consulting Engineers firm with multiple offices across the country. We do work in many different market sectors including Science and Technology, Healthcare, Higher Education, Government, High-Rise Residential and Commercial. Many of our projects are unique, challenging, and high profile with world renowned architects, which can make our work more rewarding.

The Engineering Co-op will work closely with a small engineering team under the guidance of experienced engineers, contributing to the creation of designs for HVAC systems for high-rise building projects with a focus in the Commercial, Healthcare, and Higher Academic market sectors. Students with a real interest in the building engineering market should apply. Ideally seeking a student to work 40 hours a week for a summer internship.

 

·        Work collaboratively with a small team under the leadership of a Senior Engineer on state of the art, complex building projects.

·        Use Revit and AutoCAD to provide support to engineering teams. 

·        May be involved in equipment research or selection and related mathematical calculations for the building systems.

·        May attend vendor, subcontractor, and project meetings.

·        May include travel to field sites to see buildings first-hand.

·        Participate in the Intern program for education of other areas in the company.

·        May attend vendor luncheons and inter-departmental meetings with other trade disciplines.
