Penn State's Westinghouse Fellows Program (Summer 2020)

Penn State’s Ken and Mary Alice Lindquist Department of Nuclear Engineering is now accepting applications for an outstanding undergraduate summer research and professional-development program in the nuclear field.

Made possible through a gift from Westinghouse, The Westinghouse Fellows Program is a 10-week paid summer program. Students will work closely with a faculty mentor on a state-of-the-art nuclear research project, and will have terrific opportunities to network with industry representatives and participate in site visits to locations such Westinghouse’s Waltz Mill and Blarisville sites as well as their corporate headquarters.

The program runs from June 1st to August 7th, 2020. Fellows will receive a $6000 stipend as well as on-campus housing. We will accept applications until February 17th, 2020.

Outstanding undergraduate students in engineering, computer science, physics or chemistry with an interest in the nuclear field are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have completed their sophomore year by the start of summer 2020 and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

More information about the program and application can be found at www.nuce.psu.edu/twfp

Questions should be directed to the Program Coordinator, Dr. Peter Miraldi, at pnm10@psu.edu.
