Process Center Production Alternatives Intern
Starting in early April 2020
Lufthansa Technik Component Services, a subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik AG (LHT) - the world's leading provider of aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services is looking for a self-motivated, energetic and well-rounded Intern. This is a compensated internship including the costs for the visa as well as the flight to and from the internship location.
The department of Production Alternatives is responsible for purchasing and selling surplus material as well as contracting the repair of parts to outside vendors and thus creating an alternative to traditional in-house repair of parts. In your role within the Process Center, you will encourage the continuous improvement of processes within Production Alternatives, develop new ideas, as well as manage different projects supporting the business side.
At the Process Center, you can expect a wide variety of different tasks often targeted towards your specific interests. Amongst others, your tasks would include the following:
· Management or support of an ongoing project
· Optimization of existing processes and procedures
· Data analysis task to identify untapped potentials
· Externalization of process-based knowledge
Your profile
· Ideally, you are studying Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Engineering and have completed your basic studies
· You must be enrolled in university the entire period of the internship or be in your Gap Year (between Bachelor and Master)
· If you are not an US citizen, you must fulfill all criteria to get a J1 visa for the U.S.
· Independent thinker with a sense of entrepreneurship
· Team player with good social skills
· Expert knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel and MS Power Point
· Good analytical and problem solving skills
· Strong communication skills
